Meet Courtney Lawlor, MHC-LP
You deserve care that empowers you to navigate the growth you are seeking.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and together, we will discover and unlock the strengths you have within yourself to move towards healing and wellness. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where we can address past challenges, current stressors, and concerns about the future. My goal is to empower you to embrace your true self, listen to your inner voice with kindness, and cultivate deeper connections through vulnerability.
Training & Expertise
I am a mental health counselor with a limited permit under the supervision of Pamela DeVoe, LMHC. I specialize in working with adolescents (16+), young adults, and adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and with those who are experiencing difficulties with life transitions, self-esteem, stress, and relationships. I have specific experience working with individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+). In my work with clients, I utilize a strengths-based, person-centered approach and utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques that fit each individuals' unique needs.
Personal Fun Facts
When I am not working with clients in therapy, I enjoy taking walks and hikes in the Hudson Valley, seeing a Broadway show or a concert, and spending quality time with my friends and family. I am an avid reader and I am often going back and forth between a physical book from the library and an audiobook.
